Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.6 square miles (90 km2), of which, 34.1 square miles (88 km2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it (1.39%) is water.

  Harmony Township Clean-Up Days

 

Harmony Township Clean-Up Days will be held on

Saturday, June 13th, 8am-5pm

&

Sunday, June 14th, 9am- 1pm

at the Township Garage on Neilltown Rd

and the Community Building parking lot in West Hickory.

 

Supervisors will NOT accept burnable items, household garbage, tires, propane tanks, paint cans, electronics or other hazardous materials. Freon must be removed from appliances. Batteries must be kept separate. Excessive loads of old building material will be rejected.

A fee of $10.00 per full size pick up load and $5.00 per small truck or car will be collected to help defray the cost of the dumpsters. All others will be at the discretion of the Supervisors. Checks can be made payable to ‘Harmony Township’.

The Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all loads.

Please no dumping before or after hours.

THE CLEAN-UP IS FOR HARMONY TWP TAXPAYERS ONLY. A REAL ESTATE TAX RECEIPT MAY BE NEEDED FOR RESIDENCY VERIFICATION. PLEASE REMIT CHECKS PAYABLE TO ‘HARMONY TOWNSHIP’.

Supervisor meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm unless otherwise advertised in the local paper.

NOTICE: Harmony Township welcomes the opportunity to engage in discussions on matters involving public Township business. However, the Code for Townships of the Second Class requires an affirmative vote of a majority of the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting in order to transact any business. Accordingly, while Supervisors, staff, and consultants may engage in discussions with those seeking comment, guidance, advice, or direction, no such discussion shall constitute action by the Township unless there is an affirmative vote of the majority of the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting.
